Building a sustainable fitness & nutrition plan will help with motivation and consistency, so make sure you utilise these tips to help you work towards your goals and keep you going on your health & fitness journey:

  1. You don't need to be all or nothing. You don't need to train every day, or eat perfectly 100% of the time.

  2. Make small changes to your nutrition. This will make it easier to change your habits, massive nutrition overhauls and restrictive meal plans are very hard to stick to.

  3. Find an exercise type you enjoy, and stick with that, especially to start. There's no point trying to be a long distance runner if you hate it and struggle to get motivated for it.

  4. Utilise a support network. Having friends and family understand your reasons for change, and assist you along the way is a great tool.

  5. Keep a training and nutrition log. Logging items in each helps you pay closer attention to what you're doing, and helps you make choices that are more likely to benefit you more often.

  6. If you have an off day (we all have these) just aim to get back on your plan as quick as possible.

Do you have any tips you use to keep on track with your journey?
