Easter is coming up fast and it's a hectic time for most people! Road trips, family events, social functions, holidays, nights out and lots of chocolate.
Don't stress though, it's okay to enjoy yourself over Easter, but if you're looking for some tips on staying active over easter, look no further!
Get active where you can: If you can't stick to your normal training, find ways to get active, play with the family, go for a run or walk with your partner, go swimming. Find activity wherever you can.
Spend quality time with your family while being active: Come up with games and fun activities that you and the family can do to stay active, easter hunts, basketball, hide and seek, be inventive in your activity!
Plan ahead: If you know you have a hectic schedule, plan your holidays ahead. Find places where your holidaying to exercise, plan times that you can allocate to exercise, be realistic in this!
Ensure you are still enjoying your holidays: Don't overallocate or overplan how much exercise you are doing, be moderate in your exercise and still enjoy your downtime.
Don't stress if you can't hit your usual training: Enjoy your break, make sure you get some steps in and stay hydrated (no not that kind of hydrated!). Remember, while your nutrition and training are important, so too is your social network and mental health! Enjoy yourself over your time off and get back into it when you return!
