We've put together some tips on HIIT for beginners to help make people more comfortable with these sessions:
Start with shorter or less intervals.
Ensure that you understand easier progressions of movements that can be substituted.
Increase rest breaks if needed.
Start with shorter overall sessions then build up.
Ensure you are getting adequate recovery.
Don't over-do it to start, better off starting conservatively.
Variations exist for all exercise and progression should be clearly set out, with easier and harder variations available where needed.
